When you first start the Solar journey it's important to have a look at your current electrical usage and potential places your solar panels can go.

We can fit panels on most roofs including pitched roofs, flat roofs and we can also fit ground mounted solar arrays.

It's important to work with a company that understands all of the intricacies of what designing a Solar panel system entails, down to correctly designing the stringing of the panels and properly sizing up your battery storage system.

FAQs

When considering whether to install a Solar PV system to your home or business, etc etc

  • How many panels do I need?

The amount of panels you need depends on several factors including your annual electricity usage, your roof size, the orientation of the roof, the pitch (angle), and the amount of sunlight it gets.

  • Does my roof need to be south facing?

A south facing roof is always going to be the most efficient place to put your panels but we can also fit panels on East and West facing roofs to pick the sun up on the morning on the East, Mid-day on both arrays and the west facing roof in the late afternoon, early evening.

  • Will I need planning permission?

Domestic solar panel installations are normally covered under "permitted developments" and don't require planning permission. There are exceptions to this for example if you live in a listed building, a conservation area or an area of outstanding natural beauty.

  • How long will my solar panels last for?

Solar PV systems have no moving parts and have a very long life span. The panels should still be generating electricity for at least 25 years. The Inverter which is responsible for converting the DC electricity the panels generate into usable AC electricity should last for over 10 years.

  • How long does it take to install a Solar Panel System?

Many smaller domestic Solar Panel Installations should take no longer than two days to fit and commission. Scaffolding if needed will be erected a few days before.

  • What ongoing service and maintenance do solar panels require?

Solar Panel systems require very little maintenance and don't require servicing. Modern systems are often connected to the internet so you can see exactly what they're doing and will notify owners and installers of any issues.
