Our maintenance plans are designed for solar systems in good working order. Any pre-existing faults, damage, or performance issues identified before or during your initial system health check are not covered under the plan and will be quoted separately as a one-off repair.
If your system currently has a known fault, we recommend booking a repair first. Once everything is working as it should, we'll happily move you onto a plan.
All plans include an initial health check on your first visit so we can confirm your system's baseline condition and make sure you're on the right plan for your setup.
Already have a fault?
Book a Repair FirstSpot a problem? Here’s our advice
Common issues we see with solar panels, inverters, and battery storage — and what you can do before calling us out.
Issues you might notice with the panels themselves.
Likely cause
Dirty panels, partial shading from new tree growth, or a faulty panel in the string.
What to do
Check your monitoring app and compare to the same month last year. If output has dropped more than 10–15 % and the weather is similar, it's worth booking an inspection.
Likely cause
Storm damage, thermal stress, or manufacturing defect. Even small cracks let moisture in over time.
What to do
Don't touch the panels — they carry a DC voltage whenever there's daylight. Book a repair so we can assess whether the panel needs replacing.
Likely cause
A hot spot — usually a cell that's failed or is being shaded while others aren't. Left alone it can permanently damage the panel.
What to do
This needs checking soon. Hot spots can get worse and affect the rest of the string. Book a diagnostic visit.
Likely cause
Normal weathering. Coastal and tree-lined properties get it worse. Even a thin film reduces output.
What to do
Don't use a pressure washer or kitchen cleaner — both can damage the coating. We use deionised water for a streak-free clean that won't void your warranty.
Likely cause
Mounting clips or rails may have worked loose after high winds.
What to do
Check from ground level after storms. If anything looks off, book an inspection — loose panels are a safety risk.
Not sure what’s wrong? We can diagnose it for you.
Book a Diagnostic VisitWhat neglect really costs
Your panels could be losing you money right now. Here’s what happens when solar systems don’t get regular attention.
15–25 %
Lost output from dirty panels
Dust, bird mess, and grime build up faster than you'd think. That's energy you've paid for but aren't generating.
Warranty voided
Without regular servicing
Most manufacturers require documented maintenance. Skip it and you could lose your 25-year panel warranty entirely.
£2,000+
Average inverter replacement
An annual check spots warning signs early. A £35/month plan is a lot cheaper than an emergency call-out you didn't see coming.
10+ years
Shorter system lifespan
Panels are rated for 25–30 years, but only with proper care. Neglected systems degrade faster and produce less every year.
A maintenance plan catches problems before they cost you.
