All work carried out by our accredited engineers to MCS standards, with full electrical certification.
DNO Notification
We notify your District Network Operator on your behalf where required for the connection.
Full Commissioning & Testing
We verify charge and discharge cycles, grid interaction, and system performance before we leave site.
Monitoring App Setup
Real-time smartphone access to battery state of charge, solar generation, and home consumption.
10-Year Warranty Registration
We register your battery warranty with the manufacturer on your behalf on installation day.
Smart Tariff Configuration
Time-of-use and smart export schedules configured so your battery charges on cheap overnight rates.
Cable Management
All cabling neatly trunked and routed. We leave your home as tidy as we found it.
Post-Installation Support
Our team is available after installation for any questions about your system or monitoring app.
Understanding Your Battery System
A home battery storage system is made up of four key components. We specify, supply, and install all of them as part of your package.
Battery Unit
The storage core
Modern home batteries use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry — the safest and longest-lasting lithium technology available. Each unit is rated in kilowatt-hours (kWh), which determines how much energy it can hold. A typical residential battery holds between 5 and 16 kWh. Cycle life exceeds 6,000 full charge-discharge cycles, and manufacturers typically guarantee at least 70% capacity after 10 years.

Hybrid Inverter
The control centre
A hybrid inverter manages the flow of electricity between your solar panels, battery, home, and the grid simultaneously. It decides when to charge the battery (from solar or cheap grid overnight), when to discharge it (to power your home), and when to export surplus. If you currently have a standard string inverter, we may need to upgrade it — this will be confirmed during your survey.

Energy Management System
Smart optimisation
Most modern battery systems include cloud-based energy management software that learns your usage patterns and adjusts charging and discharging schedules automatically. It can integrate with smart tariffs like Octopus Agile or Intelligent Octopus, charging your battery during cheap overnight periods and discharging during expensive peak hours. You can monitor and override settings via a smartphone app.

Optional EPS
Emergency Power Supply
Some hybrid inverters support an Emergency Power Supply (EPS) mode, which allows your battery to power selected circuits in your home during a grid outage. This is not the same as a full backup generator — it typically covers essential loads like lights, sockets, and a fridge rather than high-draw appliances like ovens or showers. EPS capability and eligible circuits will be confirmed during your survey.
Selected circuits only · Subject to inverter compatibility
Which Battery Capacity is Right for You?
Battery size is determined by your evening energy demand, solar generation profile, and whether you want EPS backup. Here are typical configurations — your exact specification will be confirmed during your free assessment.
